HOW DO I EDIT?- Production Blog

Hey cuties! I first started by trying to figure out what software I wanted to use. I was thinking about CapCut but then I thought about iMovie. But I decided on CapCut. So I did a rough because I’m not the one who is fully editing it. So I had to go back over the footage after Alexandra did so I could make sure we had good stuff before sending them to Kaylee. Aligning the cuts and transitions to the rhythm and tempo of the music was a little complicated because I had to cut up the song a little bit. I played around with coloring a bit and enhanced the scenes a little bit. I also tried to see what transitions I could do, I couldn’t find much though. I also played around with captions and texts, however, I did not like the way it looked. I then asked the group if it was a good rough draft to send to our official editor and everyone agreed that it was a good start. I then proceeded to explain to the editor what NOT to do. I was so scared it was going to look like a middle school project and I absolutely did not want that. But I have faith that our editor will do amazing in the end. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks wonderful. I’m very happy with how everything has come along. The editing was pretty easy. The editors also pretty good. None of us are professionals, though. Anyway, that’s all for today. Hope you have an amazing day! Bye lovelies!
